Bakul Patki is a specialist in curation, production and promotion across the arts. Bakul has over fifteen years of experience working in culture, media and entertainment from music, television and film, to art, design and architecture.
She works independently for arts institutions, individual artists and galleries, arts festivals, charities and brands and developers who have an interest in working within and supporting creativity.
Most recently she has curated and creatively produced exhibitions, installations and performances at Royal Hampton Court Palace, London, Somerset House, London and the Gallery of Photography, Dublin, the Granary Crossing, London and (annually) at the New Designers Exhibition, London. She works regularly consulting on creative and cultural innovation for brands such as Absolut (UK), Royal Salute (Globally) and Pernod Ricard’s Breakthrough Innovation Group (Global) and has carried out successful press campaigns for many individual artists and organisations – including the Information is Beautiful Awards 2015.
Her independence as a freelancer means she is able to be nimble and flexible, approaching each project from a fresh perspective, tailoring her input accordingly. As and when a project requires additional staff, she calls on her extensive network of contacts, bringing on board the most appropriate specialist for that particular occasion. This broad contacts database and years of collaborating with the arts community and publications, also allows her to offer services and broker relationships beyond traditional press campaigns and to fulfil complex, unusual and challenging curatorial or production commissions.
Bakul is also co-founder of Leading Culture Destinations and the LCD Awards – a platform designed to celebrate the best in culture and travel.
